GENERATION ESPOIRE
GENERATION ESPOIRE (Generation Hope), was a not for profit Crown Heights (Brooklyn) photography projected created by photographer ALEXANDER DERRICK and fashion model ALASSANE SY (see Boss Models NYC).
GENERATION ESPOIRE, was created to expose inner city youth to the realities of the fashion and modeling industry. It was also conceived as a positive social network for progressive youths . All of the models were cast from the local neighborhood by BOSS fashion model ALASSANE SY.

With seven years of experience as a lead artist at Universal Interactive in Los Angeles, California, and 3 years of experience working in the fast paced New York fashion industry ALEXANDER DERRICK has developed a clean and concise grasp of contemporary global style, and high-end design.
Derrick has been recognized in TRACE MAGAZINE, DESIGN INDABA MAGAZINE (South Africa),and LUCKY MAGAZINE for his designs. Derrick has also been recognized in HIGH SNOBIETY, it's sister magazine HIGH SNOBETTE, and a variety of other leading fashion blogs for his cutting edge "global cool" apparel graphics. Derrick has designed clothing for GAP'S AFRICA RED CAMPAIGN, and has received the Parents Choice Silver Awards for his work on JUMPSTART READING WITH KARAOKE
He has sold his high end fashion products to JOFRÉ'S (Barcelona), one of the oldest department stores in Spain. As well as HENRI BENDEL'S, New York's legendary Fifth Avenue boutique.
Derrick has traveled and worked in the LOS ANGELES, NEW YORK, CHICAGO, RIO DE JANEIRO, LONDON, LISBON, MILAN, MUMBAI, JOHANNESBURG, TEL AVIV, and JERUSALEM. He has acquired a large empirical knowledge base and appreciation for the world's cultures, tastes, styles, fashions, and ancient and modern civilizations.
Derrick's broad range of experiences, interests, disciplines, creativity, eye for style, high standards of ethics and excellence continue to distinguish his craft and evolve his character.
